New Technology

Advanced Technology for Comfortable, Informed Dental Care

Each examining room at Rainbow Falls Dental includes a flat screen monitor for patients. These monitors provide multiple media options, including cable television, image projections for patient education, and direct connection to our intra-oral cameras.

Our intra-oral cameras allow us to show patients what we see during a dental exam, helping you better understand your oral health and treatment options.

CBCT Machine

3D Cone Beam CT Imaging

At Rainbow Falls Dental, we strive to stay up to date with the newest innovations in dental technology so we can provide safe, effective, and precise treatment options. We are pleased to offer the Orthophos-XG 3D cone beam scanner from Sirona.

Cone Beam Computed Tomography, also known as a CBCT scan, rotates around the patient’s head and captures up to nearly 600 distinct images. These images provide detailed data of the mouth, jaw, neck, ears, nose, throat, facial nerves, sinus anatomy, and surrounding structures.

CBCT imaging is especially helpful for treatment planning and diagnosis in dental implants, endodontics, orthodontics, and other advanced dental procedures.

Safer, More Detailed Dental Imaging

The health and safety of our patients is our highest priority. Unlike traditional medical CT scans, CBCT scans are low-dose examinations while still providing superior image detail.

A CBCT scan of the whole jaw is comparable to approximately 12 to 30 days of normal background radiation. As with any x-ray examination, please inform our team if you may be pregnant.

3D imaging gives us a clear view of bone structure, facial nerves, and sinus anatomy. This allows us to customize treatment, protect delicate nerve endings, minimize risk, and support faster healing.

Benefits of Cone Beam CT Scanning

  • Reduced exposure to scatter radiation.
  • A single scan provides detailed views from many angles.
  • More information than conventional dental x-rays.
  • More precise and accurate treatment planning.
  • Painless, non-invasive, and highly accurate imaging.
  • Ability to capture both bone and soft tissue information in one scan.

Cone Beam CT scanning has transformed how dental professionals gather information, diagnose concerns, and plan treatment by moving from two-dimensional x-rays to detailed 3D imaging.

One-Appointment Crowns

CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns

In standard dentistry, creating a dental crown often requires multiple appointments. With CEREC technology, your crown can be designed, fabricated, and placed in our office in just one appointment.

There is no need for temporary crowns or traditional molds. Instead, we scan the tooth digitally and use our CEREC machine to create a precise custom restoration.

CEREC uses CAD/CAM technology, which stands for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing. This allows us to digitally capture, design, and create custom porcelain crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays with accuracy and efficiency.

CEREC restorations are durable, comfortable, natural-looking, and designed to preserve as much healthy tooth enamel as possible.

Strong, Natural-Looking Restorations

CEREC is a one-stop solution for restoring teeth back to their desired state. This technology has been supported by hundreds of clinical studies and has been used by dentists for over 20 years.

By capturing highly accurate images of the affected area, CEREC helps us create crowns, veneers, bridges, inlays, and onlays that closely match your natural tooth structure. The result is a strong, reliable, long-term restorative solution that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
